Textures and Digressions Album

suRRism-Phonoethics is proud to release ’Textures and Digressions‘ by Stormhat!
This record is to be enjoyed side by side with ‘Field and Track‘ as well released by suRRism-Phonoethics.
All these pieces are made from improvisations on the bCr8-synth by Ben Fisher. They all only contains two mixed tracks and with only very sparse effects added to some of the tracks. Some space, a little chorus and nothing else.
I take great pleasure in the erratic and sometimes chaotic behavior of this synth and I enjoy the clear and distinctive presence of its sound. For me this is field recordings of the circuits and bursts of energy of this fascinating little machine. I’m interested in the texture of the sounds more than anything else and enjoy the sometimes amazing coincidences. Not a lot of editing went into this work. Hopefully that can be heard!
Stormhat is the artist/composer Peter Bach Nicolaisen from Jutland in Denmark.He is teaching art at a art-architecture-design school and living there as well.Stormhat enjoys cats, his garden, the weather, his family, consciousness, experimental pleasures, art, literature, sound.
