Biography
Praxis rehearses experiments in listening, coordination, and agency, often as measured through tuning and timbre. These rehearsals are inputs to the compositions of Elizabeth Adams. We prefer small venues with live accoustics where we can generate a lot of conversation around our performances. This has led us to prioritize house concerts. We want to cultivate long-term audiences who engage us. Praxis is: Vita Wallace and Aaron Packard, violins; Christa Van Alstine, bass clarinet; and Michael McCurdy, percussion.
