Singer-songwriter Meg Baird is a member of the band Espers and also half of the Baird Sisters with sister Laura. As a singer, she will call to mind some of the greats of both the American and UK folk tradition. As a guitarist, she is quiet yet dazzling. She moves effortlessly between her own poetic songs and covers, making them indelibly hers. We were treated to five songs from her two solo albums on a recent trip to the WFMU studios.
