Biography
Judith Cohen is an ethnomusicologist who has recorded some of the last of the singers of the old Sephardic repertoire of ballads and wedding songs over the last three decades, as well as songs of the Sephardim's Balkan, Portuguese, French Canadian and other neighbours, travelling through the Mediterranean, Europe and North America. Judith teaches courses in ethnmmusicology and medieval music at York University in Toronto.
