November 10, 2011 Jin Hi Kim’s Digital Buddha II begins with a hypnotic, contemplative video mandala and the ancient 4th century acoustic komungo that is rooted in Buddhist meditation. Following this opening are a handful of duets with baritone Thomas Buckner and tabla virtuoso Samir Chatterjee. A wide range of music from quiet contemplation to romping ecstasy will performed without breaks, accompanied by interlocking and overlapping images from Joel Can and Benton C-Bainbridge.
