De Portables are a band which core consists of of Wio and Köhn. Having an incredible talent of keeping all their solo activities separate, de Portables still have their own identity. For those who witnessed them live it might come as a surprise they come up with a brilliant downtempo album full of pure music-poetry (not to be taken literally). Melodic bass, inventive drumming and high quality pop songs, are the standard ingredients. The individual talents deliver the herbs. Lots of attention did go to details. A minimal snare here, backwards loops there. It all fits perfectly. It's a cd with secrets. Every song a bit of a mystery. A kind of "treasure island", letting the secrets go very slowly.Referencepoints might be For Carnation, Pinback,Papa M., etc. be it only in sphere.
