Portland, Or. composer/producer Chad Crouch continues his series of melodic ambient releases with Vol. VI: Bayocean Peninsula. Crouch lets his unvarnished field recordings exist as a canvas for his compositions for piano, flute, clarinet, tuned percussion, and the occasional synthesizer. For example “Frog Dream” features an amphibian chorus paired to a piano and glockenspiel lullaby.
