Latest full length album by Canadian project The Silence Industry. 12 tracks of gothic rock / darkwave / dark ambient sounds.
Back in 2007 we received an email by a Canadian named Graham Jackson. They wrote to us about their gothic rock project The Silence Industry, with a self-titled debut album which had a lot of noise and psychedelic rock influences. He asked us to take a listen and asked if we were interested in putting it out at Enough Records.
We were already well established as a netlabel in 2007, had been putting out new releases steadily for over 6 years and aaccrued an eclectic catalogue of (mostly) electronic music, some more electronica, some more experimental. We had recently put out a few releases of dark ambient and industrial music releases. Including the mythical Falésia compilation made in collaboration with Elegy Ibérica which brought a lot of goth/neo folk/dark ambient scene attention to us, things somewhat related to the goth culture, which i can only guess was one of the reasons Graham decided to us to put out their music and not random other netlabel more focused on rock or metal, which did exist at the time.
That's how our first collaboration came to happen with The Silence Industry, and we were happy to put out their debut album in 2007. They released in other labels aswell: Aenaos Records (who are still active) and afmusic (which no longer are). And eventually came back to us 7 years later with another album ready to put out free for "Brother Sing, Sister Shout (and other conspiracies".
We kept in touch on and off throughout the years with the release of 3 other albums: "To Turn the Earth" from 2023 where The Silence Industry celebrate their 15 years of activity by presenting us with their signature (slightly psychedelic and heartfelt) gothic rock sounds with a handful of new tracks segwayed by dark ambient pieces.
