Matt Oakley is based near Bristol, in the UK.
He writes, produces, and records royalty-free music from genre soundtracks to theme tunes and other instrumental music, both acoustic and electronic.
FMA Team
I have been creating and sharing music on the FMA in a number of different guises since 2014.
My greatest hits so far have been my series of imaginary 80's album that includes 14 tracks, I used a Roland Juno G synth and record all parts live using the built-in sequencer. There is then a bit of quantizing. I added effects and master using my Zoom R16 digital 16-Track and transport to my Mac.
On this album is Walter's Wonderland. A theme park set comedy. The Nelson family win first prize in an unlikely competition; to move into 'Walter's Wonderland' – a dilapidated but still magical theme park owned by eccentric recluse Walter Finkelstein. The family discover the history and secrets of the park and its owner, as they also learn a few life lessons about themselves.
When you explore this album, you will also meet Mercury Ascendant.
In other soundtrack genres, I shared tracks for Halloween and more horror atmosphere, such as Here Comes the Ice.
Up until now, though, I have only sporadically released solo material, something I intend to focus on much more going forward.
